Shiraz, June 1, IRNA – Chairman of Jewish Community of Shiraz, southern Iranian province of Fars, Amir Ala Salari has said that participation in Iran’s upcoming presidential election is a national duty and a way to have a role in the country’s political affairs.

Speaking to IRNA, Salari said election is a national duty as taking part in it will guarantee national interests.

Jewish Community of Shiraz has always taken effective steps towards country’s progress, Salari noted.

He went on to say that high turnout would help elect the better person.

He further named election as a way to resist enemies’ unreasonable demands.

Enemies have always been after spraying poison to elections in Iran; meanwhile, participation in the election has indicated that people attach importance to their country’s fate.

At his remarks, chairman of the community referred to economic problems as the main issue that has made the people concerned.

At the end, Salari expressed hope that the forthcoming presidential election would be held well with following health protocols as the coronavirus pandemic is not still over.
